On the Komen/Planned Parenthood debacle:
You have to have engagement of the people who love you and stand by you. In this situation, Komen had three problems: 
They didn’t have alignment internally.  Some chapters didn’t agree.
They just blurted out the message.  They didn’t test how it would play.
They blindly adhered to a policy.
